A MAKER PODCAST exclusive interview with Nigerian-American Renaissance man, Tobe Nwigwe
“If you really want to change the world…start executing”

GINI BU NKPA GI?  | What is Your Purpose?

Tobe Nwigwe is a true renaissance man.

He is a first generation Nigerian-American born and raised in Houston, Texas. A stellar athlete, Tobe dreamed of joining the NFL.

In 2000, he founded the nonprofit "edutainment" company, Team Gini; which he says is, “the nucleus” of all his business/life ventures.

The underlying message of Team Gini is to help individuals find their purpose. To achieve this goal, Tobe began a career as a motivational speaker for the youth of some of Houston’s toughest neighborhoods.

With no real musical aspirations, Tobe caught the attention of the phenomenal Eric "The Hip Hop Preacher" Thomas. Through hard work and the auspices of Eric Thomas' company, Eric Thomas and Associates, LLC, Tobe became the first musician to be signed to Eric's ETA Record Label. Tobe has created a new subgenre of hip-hop which he calls LIFE Music.

Tobe's public speaking career has morphed into a music career, and he employs rap music to carry his message of positivity and purpose forward. A prolific and conscious rapper, he has created many intelligent and dope songs over the years.

Tobe stands in his purpose and is fully conscious of the impact he has on other human beings. On August 15th, 2017, I emailed Tobe from Amsterdam and asked him if he would contribute his song, "Another Level" to the MAKER PODCAST.

On August 16th, Tobe simply emailed back, "Hey, Mona. I love what you're doing... you can use the song."

Tobe, thank you for providing the theme song to the MAKER PODCAST
